I am very proud and happy to share the Preschool Advantage Annual Impact Report with our donors, volunteers, Trustees and staff who have worked so hard to achieve so much more than we imagined this year.
Last year, we set a Strategic Goal to more than double the number of 4-year old children who would receive tuition support for full academic day programs.
We knew this ambitious goal would stretch our organization administratively and financially. However, our Board of Trustees bravely committed to spending not just current income to support this expansion, but to drawing from endowment funds to the extent necessary to achieve our goal.
Through our shared vision and commitment to expanding equitable access to early childhood education we not only doubled the number of students funded for full academic day this year (our stated goal), but nearly tripled the number of full academic day tuitions funded. And we made this happen without accessing our endowment funds. Our simple mission – “to open the doors to preschool and unlock the possibilities beyond” – has inspired us to give more time, talent, and treasure year after year because we know the 3- and 4-year-olds we will meet this year will only be 3 and 4 this year. We know they need us now and so we, and all of you, showed up.
As part of our commitment to making an impact with the number of children having access to quality preschool education, and being fiscally responsible with our operating funds, we expanded staff hours to meet the administrative needs of the organization. With excitement and gratitude, we welcomed four new Trustees to our incredibly dedicated board, and we will continue working to expand our board again next year so that we will continue to have some of the best minds, dedication, and energy united to ensure our ability to meet our mission.
I offer my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the passionate work of my fellow Trustees. I congratulate our small but mighty staff on their creativity, commitment, and excellence. We could not have accomplished any of our success without them. And, on behalf of Preschool Advantage and all the families we serve, I offer my deep gratitude to all the donors who made this year possible.
Let’s do it again!
